PRIVACY POLICY
Your interviews are yours.
Fluo is built to keep your research on your own Mac. This page explains exactly what leaves it, when, and why.
Who is responsible
Fluo is made by sittingonacornflake CommV, Toekomststraat 74, 9040 Gent, Belgium, company number BE 0479.620.359. Questions about your data: support@fluoresearch.com.
What stays on your Mac
Your recordings, transcripts, highlights, notes, insights and artifacts are stored locally. Transcription runs on your device. Fluo has no account system and no server.
AI analysis with Anthropic (optional)
Only when you turn on AI analysis and give permission, Fluo sends your questions, the transcripts you ask about and your notes to Anthropic, using your own API key. Audio is never sent. Anthropic processes this under its own terms.
Cloud transcription with OpenAI (optional)
If you choose OpenAI for transcription in Settings and give permission, the audio of the recordings you import is sent to OpenAI, using your own API key.
Granola import (optional)
If you add a Granola key, Fluo fetches the meetings you pick. Nothing is sent to Granola besides your key and the request.
Model download
The first time you transcribe, Fluo downloads the speech model from Hugging Face. Like any download, this shares your IP address. No research data is involved.
Purchases
The unlock is bought through the Mac App Store. Apple handles the payment. Fluo only learns that the purchase exists, never your payment details or who you are.
This website
fluoresearch.com uses no cookies and no analytics. Our host, Vercel, processes your IP address to deliver the pages, as any web host does.
What we never do
No analytics, no tracking, no crash reports with your content, no selling or sharing of data. We cannot see your research.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can withdraw permission at any time in Settings, and ask about, correct or delete any data we hold. In practice we hold none apart from the emails you send to support. Your research lives on your Mac and with the providers you chose.
Changes
We will update this page when Fluo changes what it sends. Last updated: 20 October 2026.
